I stopped by the Paws for a Cause Dog Show that was held at the Jess Odom Community Center in Maumelle on September 26. The event, sponsored by the Maumelle Rotary Club, was a fundraiser to help support Romanian orphanages and local orphans.
Participants entered their dogs in contest including best kissers, owner look-a-like, cutest puppy and best costume to name a few. I did not take Bear with me this year but I will defintinely take her next year, she will have a blast.
The Maumelle Friends of the the Animals had one of their dogs at the event that is up for adoption. Mildred, a 10-year-old dachshund mix that is house-trained, very sweet and would make a great lap dog.
